Barbara Priestner Werte is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. Now in private practice, she is a compassionate and professional individual who has had a passion for understanding the Mind/Body connection for many years.
Though classically trained in the behavioral sciences, including Psychodynamic, Insight Oriented, Cognitive Behavioral and Psychoanalytic treatment approaches, Ms. Priestner Werte has most recently been studying extensively in the areas of Behavioral Neuroscience, Mind/Body Medicine, Psychoneuroimmunology, Transpersonal Psychology, Meditation, Mindfulness Psychotherapy, Guided Imagery and Integrative Health. In addition, she is an ordained Interfaith Minister and holds a certification in Interspiritual Mentoring/Direction from the Claritas Institute for Interspiritual Inquiry as well as a certification in Energy Medicine from The Four Winds Society.
She brings this knowledge and training for the purpose of assisting clients in understanding the powerful way the mind can influence physical, emotional, psychological and behavioral health and wellness.
